I Think It's Thursday...

Not much to do today. Waiting on the local Chinese officials to translate and notarize our paperwork from the adoption so that it can be presented at the US Consulate in Guangzhou. We will also receive the kids' Chinese passports tomorrow. They won't be US citizens until we touch down on US soil. (Actually, since Mark was not able to travel, we'll have to go thru the Georgia re-adoption process before Ke Xin will be a citizen.)
Ke Xin is definitely a girly-girl. She likes dresses, shoes and hair boo-boos. I got her these heart sunglasses and they look so cute, but we ended up donating them to the Darling family. Ke Xin's head is just too wide for them and their baby, Kelly, is the perfect size.
Olivia had a better day today. She only had 2 meltdowns. She's never bad to Ke Xin, but sometimes she ignores her. Usually they are happily hand-in-hand whenever we go out of the room.
And here is Miss Olivia at breakfast. She had bacon, noodles, fruit cocktail and green olives. Her choice. Ke Xin eats everything except... ice cream. Sorry dad! She spit it out the other night. Could be it didn't blend well with the congee she'd just finished...

  2. Ice cream takes time. Sheridan did not like it at first, but over time (more than a year) he has come to love it.

    Thanks for keeping us posted.

  3. When we arrived in China, Ricky could hardly wait to meet his baby sister. After we got her, he said, "Where is her mother? You are my mother, you can not be her mother too!!!"
